Bell Gardens, CA (August 30, 2011) – Tonight at Legends of Poker, the first domestic event of World Poker Tour®’s milestone Season X, six elite players battle it out for their first WPT® title. Legends of Poker final table begins tonight at 7:00 PM ET/4:00 PM PT.
Fans everywhere will be able to watch every hand from every WPT final table.* WPT’s Live Streaming is the latest initiative to make sure the most passionate poker fans never miss a flop. Hosted by WPT’s Tony Dunst, fans can see hole cards, chip counts, statistics and get instant analysis at www.worldpokertour.com. Or follow the hand-by-hand action with WPT’s award winning Live Updates team, including interviews with new Live Updates hostess Jess Welman.
Fans who need to be closer to the game can come to The Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, CA and watch the event live. Poker announcer Ali Nejad serves as the master of ceremonies. His quick wit, energy and poker knowledge, along with fewer breaks and more action will make championship final tables more fun and memorable for players and spectators alike.
VIPs and a few lucky audience members will get to join the Royal Flush Girls™ at the Royal Flush Girls Social Bar to watch the final table, enjoying their company and seeing the championship from a whole new perspective.
The Social Bar is just one part of an expanded set, now also featuring interactive monitors showing live Twitter feeds, chip counts and audience polls. Audience members will be able to get opinions from Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten, banter with Kimberly Lansing or post comments for the Royal Flush Girls.
The final six players outplayed a huge field of 757 to make the final table. The winner will get their name engraved on the new Champions Cup, a beautiful, 30-pound, 33-inch perpetual trophy that serves as a lasting tribute to all WPT winners and is displayed at every Tour event around the world, as well as a personalized replica of the Champions Cup. The winner will also gain entrance into the Champions Club, getting exclusive benefits, a WPT personal concierge and VIP treatment at WPT events.
