Final 54 Back in Action at Noon Tomorrow
Level 17: 2,500-5,000, 500 ante
Phil Ivey's abrupt elimination on the money bubble brought Day 3 action to an end after almost seven full levels of action. The players are worn out after a long day at the tables, but they have the night to recover and the assurance of at least a $21,080 payday.
Tuan Phan is the end of day chip leader with 1,140,000. He is the first player over a million chips and has a bit of distance between himself and his next closest competitor, Jason Somerville, who finished with 860,000.
WPT Champions Club members Allen Carter, Joe Tehan, and Joe Hachem will be back in action tomorrow, as will notables like David Sands, Noah Schwartz, Joe Hachem, Christian Harder, Dan Kelly, Amit Makhija, and Tom Marchese.
The official chip counts and seat assignments will be up shortly. Until then here are the unofficial top five chip counts from the end of Day 3:
1. Tuan Phan - 1,140,000 (228 BBs)
2. Jason Somerville - 860,000 (172 BBs)

Phil Ivey Eliminated on the Bubble to End Day 3 Action
Level 17: 2,500-5,000, 500 ante
Action folds around to Phil Ivey in late position and he open shoves all-in for his last 65,000 or so. Dave Baker is next to act and calls.
Baker's pocket kings have Ivey's pocket sixes in bad shape. Ivey gets no help from the board and the Season VI LA Poker Classic champ is eliminated in 55th place, just one spot shy of at least a $21,080 payday.
With that, Day 3 action draws to a close. The players are now bagging and tagging chips and will be back in action at 12pm on Monday.
We'll have official chip counts and an end of day wrap up coming shortly.
