Level 4: 100-200, 25 ante

Day 1s of poker tournaments can often drag, so players come up with very creative ways to pass the time.

One such way is a game Jared Jaffee's table came up with. The group, which includes Matthew Waxman and Wade Woelfel, decided to predict characteristics of the player who would eventually fill the empty seat at their table. Firstly, they decided to predict first and last initiais of the player's name, with each of the four participants selecting four letters in a snake draft order. Here was the draft order:

Round 1: M, R, A, C,
Round 2: D, L, S, B,
Round 3: F, T, J, G
Round 4: P, H, E, W

Next, they decided to guess birth month. The months were divied up in groups of three, January-March, April-June, July-September, and October-December.

Finally, they decided to guess the player's age, picking what the last number of the age would be, with 0 being a push.

It took over an hour before the empty seat was filled and, when the man finally did arrive to take the seat, they ran into a little problem.

"I don't speak English," he tells the table.

Jaffee convinces the man to loan him his Borgata card and determines his initials are AB. They also figure out he was born in August and claims to be 60 years old. Each participant manages to win one category--except one guy.

"I got scooped," Waxman says with a sigh.
