Joe McKeehen Eliminated

Level 6: 200-400, 50 ante

Joe McKeehen moves all in on the river for what looks to be just over 10,000 with the final board reading AclubJdiamond6heart6diamond5diamond and his opponent took some time before calling.

McKeehen tables Kheart3heart and his bluff is picked off by his opponent's AheartTclub. A few of his tablemates talked about the call as Mckeehen heads for the doors.

Magriel Runs into Two Pair

Level 6: 200-400, 50 ante

A player raises under-the-gun and Paul Magriel calls on the button. Loni Harwood defends her big blind and they are three-handed to a flop of Jheart9spade6heart.

Harwood checks, the original raiser bets 1,500 and Magriel calls. Harwood folds and the 3spade falls on the turn. Under-the-gun bets 1,500 again and Magriel reaches for chips.

"Rainbow," said Magriel as he raises to 11,525, tossing out four chips of three different colors.

Under-the-gun goes into the tank for a couple minutes and then eventually calls. The Qdiamond is the river and both players check. Under-the-gun tables QclubJdiamond and Magriel mucks his hand.

Paul Magriel - 50,000

Picking up the action after a flop of Aheart5heart3spade, Patrick Eskandar is all in for 16,875 with Aspade5diamond, Michael Mizrachi is all in for less with AclubKclub, and a third player has them both covered with Kheart8heart.

The 2spade turn and 2diamond river are safe for Eskandar, giving him the pot.

"Ray Qartomy Getting Crazy"

Level 6: 200-400, 50 ante

"Watch the next few hands," Ray Qartomy says as we arrive at his table. "It's time to get crazy."

Sure enough, action folds to Qartomy in middle position and he shoves for about 11,000. The table folds and Qartomy collects the pot.

"Don't go anywhere, I have to do it again."

The following hand action folds to Qartomy and he limps in this time. Two other players see the flop and they proceed to check down a board of Aspade6club2diamond8diamond4diamond. Qartomy takes down the pot with Aclub9heart.

"I'll do it this time, I promise."

The next hand Qartomy shoves from UTG+1 for about 12,000 and once again he collects the blinds and antes.

"Post it and call it Ray Qartomy is getting crazy!"

Ray Qartomy - 12,800

ClubWPT Qualifier Ernest Evans

Level 5: 150-300, 50 ante

ClubWPT Ernest Evans 1
One of the players in this Day 1C field didn’t buy in for $3,500, but instead won the seat by playing on ClubWPT.com.

Ernest Evans lives in Brentwood, California with his wife. He has been playing poker for the past 15 years, and he got his start playing in cardrooms in California.

After Black Friday, Evans started playing on ClubWPT.com. He won a massive tournament to earn his seat into this event, and a week later he went deep again, finishing 89th as he tried to win a seat into another WPT event.

His favorite player is Daniel Negreanu. “He wins and he has fun doing it.”

This is the first time Evans has ever visited Florida, and he says, “If I have time, I would like to visit an authentic Cuban restaurant and stroll along Miami Beach.”

If you’d like to follow in his footsteps and win your way into a top-tier WPT event, check out ClubWPT.com.

Mather Shoves the River

Level 5: 150-300, 50 ante

Bob Mather raises to 725 from under-the-gun and is called by the button and Paul Magriel called out of the big blind. The flop is Tdiamond9diamond8spade and all three players check.

The turn is the 5diamond and Magriel bets 1,700. Mather calls and the button raises to 4,200. Magriel takes a minute before folding and Mather calls fairly quickly.

The river is the 6spade and Mather moves all in for just over 7,000. The button immediately folds his hand and Mather chips up as the level nears an end.

Gaviao is in bad shape with Adiamond8club against Pillai's AspadeTheart. The board runs out Qclub4diamond3club2diamond2club and Pillai's kicker plays and Gaviao is eliminated.

"One more bullet before dinner," said Ray Qartomy to Gaviao.
