A Battle of the Steves

Level 14: 2,500-5,000, 500 ante

Steven Merrifield raises from under the gun and both Lee Markholt and Matt Stout call in position.  Steve Brecher defends from the big blind and the four players see a flop of KspadeQclub3heart.  Brecher checks, Merrifield bets 45,000 and both Stout and Markholt fold.  Brecher then check raises all-in for 212,000. 

Merrifield goes in the tank for over five minutes.  Eventually Lee Markholt politely calls the clock on Merrifield and he apologizes to Markholt and the table for taking so long.

Shortly after that, Merrifield throws his hand away and explains to the table that he really was thinking about calling since he just couldn't make any sense of how the hand went down.

Mohsin Charania opens the pot from middle position for a 5,500 raise.  Dean Meyer calls from the button and Steve Brecher makes it 20,500 to go from the small blind.  Eric Froehlich four bets to 75,000 from the big blind and action folds back around to Brecher who moves all in for 24,500 more.  Froehlich calls.
