Hands #49-50: Craig Crivello Triples Up

Level 23: 30,000-60,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #49  -  Freddy Deeb completes the small blind to 60,000, and Jason Burt checks his option in the big blind. Both players check to the river on a board of KclubQspade4club5club9spade, and Burt shows Adiamond5heart to win the pot with a pair of fives.

Hand #50  -  Tommy Vedes raises from early position to 170,000, Jason Lavallee calls from middle position, and Craig Crivello moves all in from the cutoff for 410,000.

Vedes and Lavallee both call, and they check the dry side pot all the way down on a board of KdiamondQheartJclub4heart2heart. Vedes shows AheartKspade for a pair of kings, but Craig Crivello shows JdiamondJheart to win the pot with a set of jacks and triple up in chips.

Craig Crivello  -  1,850,000
Tommy Vedes  -  3,090,000
Jason Lavallee  -  2,075,000

Hands #39-42: Chris Bjorin Eliminated in 10th Place ($47,710)

Level 23: 30,000-60,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #39  -  Kido Pham raises from middle position to 275,000, winning the blinds and antes.

Hand #40  -  Kido Pham raises from early position to 260,000, winning the blinds and antes.

Hand #41  -  Freddy Deeb raises from the button to 185,000, winning the blinds and antes.

Hand #42  -  Tommy Vedes raises under the gun to 190,000, Chris Bjorin moves all in from early position for about 800,000, and Vedes calls with QdiamondQheart. Bjorin shows AspadeKclub, and he'll need to improve to stay alive.

The board comes 10club5spade4spade9spade9club, and Tommy Vedes wins the pot with his pocket queens. Chris Bjorin is eliminated in 10th place, earning $47,710.

Hands #24-25: Richard Sciuto Doubles Through Tommy Vedes

Level 22: 20,000-40,000, 4,000 ante

Hand #24  -  Tommy Vedes completes the small blind to 40,000, and Chris Bjorin checks his option in the big blind. Both players check to the turn on a board of Qdiamond6diamond5heartJdiamond, Vedes checks, Bjorin bets 60,000, and Vedes folds. Chris Bjorin takes the pot.

Hand #25  -  Richard Sciuto moves all in under the gun for 100,000, Tommy Vedes reraises to an unknown amount from the button, and everyone else folds. Sciuto shows QdiamondQspade, and Vedes turns over KspadeJspade

The board comes Qheart4club4spade7spade2heart, and Sciuto flops a full house to win the pot and triple up (because of blinds and antes) to about 300,000.

Richard Sciuto  -  300,000

Hand #18: Tommy Vedes Takes the Chip Lead From Jason Lavallee

Level 22: 20,000-40,000, 4,000 ante

Hand #18  -  Tommy Vedes raises from late position to 115,000, Jason Lavallee reraises from the small blind to 350,000, and Vedes calls. Both players check to the turn on a board of 9club5club2diamondKheart, Lavallee checks, Vedes bets 350,000, and Lavallee calls.

The river card is the 2heart, and both players check. Vedes shows Kclub8club to win the pot with a pair of kings, and Lavallee mucks.

With that pot, it looks like Lavallee may have lost the chip lead for the first time since early in yesterday's play. (Though the larger chip stacks are difficult to count with four different denominations in action and a ton of physical chips on the table.)

Tommy Vedes  -  3,080,000
Jason Lavallee  -  3,005,000

Larry Berg Eliminated in 11th Place ($47,710)

Level 22: 20,000-40,000, 4,000 ante

After not putting a single chip into play all day, Larry Berg moves all in from the button for 416,000, and Tommy Vedes calls from the big blind with QdiamondJdiamond. Berg shows QheartJspade, and it'll be a chop unless somebody makes a flush.

The flop comes 7diamond3club2diamond, and Vedes is freerolling with a diamond flush draw. The turn card is the Kdiamond, clinching the pot for Vedes. (The meaningless river card is the 4spade.)

In the sickest fashion possible, Larry Berg (a dealer here at Bellagio who we hear was backed into a satellite to earn his entry) is eliminated in a Q-J vs. Q-J situation. There is a big hand developing at the next table, but as soon as it's resolved, the remaining players will combine to a single table.

Shawn Cunix vs. Tommy Vedes

Level 22: 20,000-40,000, 4,000 ante

Shawn Cunix raises under the gun to 90,000, Kido Pham calls from the small blind, and Tommy Vedes calls from the big blind. All three players check to the turn on a board of AheartQdiamondJspade8heart, Pham checks, Vedes bets 115,000, Cunix calls, and Pham folds.

The river card is the Kheart, and both players check. Cunix shows Jheart10diamond to win the pot with an ace-high straight, and Vedes mucks.

Aaron Jones Triples Up Through Cunix and Vedes

Level 22: 20,000-40,000, 4,000 ante

Tommy Vedes raises from the cutoff to 80,000, Shawn Cunix calls from the button, and Aaron Jones moves all in from the small blind for 343,000. Vedes and Cunix both call, and Vedes checks in the dark.

The flop comes KspadeQspade3heart, and Cunix checks behind. The turn card is the 10spade, putting three spades on the board. Vedes checks, Cunix bets 230,000 into the dry sidepot, and Vedes says, "Wow," as he reluctantly folds.

Cunix shows Qheart10diamond for two pair, queens and tens, and Jones shows 6club6spade for a pair with a low spade flush draw. Jones needs a six or a spade to stay alive.

The river card is the Aspade, and Aaron Jones rivers a spade flush to win the pot and triple up to about 1,050,000. As soon as the spade hit the river, Vedes jumps out of his chair and storms out to the balcony to cool down -- the implication is that he had a higher spade in his hand and would have won the pot and busted Jones if Cunix hadn't bet the turn.

Aaron Jones  -  1,050,000
Shawn Cunix  -  2,015,000
Tommy Vedes  -  1,707,000
