Who's Where?

Level 8: 120,000-240,000, 30,000 ante

We've reseated down to one table. Here's how they've been seated: Ted Forrest James Van Alstyne Joanne "JJ" Liu Vince Shaw Amir Sheyesteh Joe Sebok Bill Edler This works out pretty well for Forrest, who has the big stack right behind the two smallest.

News and Notes

Level 8: 120,000-240,000, 30,000 ante

- Ted Forrest is going to town. He took a bunch off of Joe Sebok then took half of Bill Edler's stack. He's our leader now. - Sebok seems determined to make this final table. He was playing some great, aggressive poker earlier, but he's since declines into a passive mode. I wonder if the importance of a televised final table to Joe's multimedia aspirations might be affecting his decisions. - Jeff Madsen is the most aggressive player left, but it's coming back to haunt him. Jeff has lost close to a million chips since his zenith and is looking frustrated. - Edler's following up a seventh place finish at the LAPC with this performance is simply remarkable. Throw in his cash at Borgata and his win at the Heads-Up Championships in Compton and we may be talking about the hottest player on the circuit right now. General consensus in these parts is that it couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Bill's still looking cool and relaxed, and he just coubled up off of Sebok. - Props to JJ Liu for wearing her "I knocked out David Williams" shirt at the table. She's a great lady.

Forrest Gets Edler to Lay Down

Level 8: 120,000-240,000, 30,000 ante

on a board of Jspade8spade6diamond4diamond Ted Forrest bets out T150,000 from the small blind. Bill Edler then re-raises to T335,000. Forrest announces he is all in and slams down 3 stacks of orange chips in front of him. He has Edler covered. Edler thinks as he sips on his coffee. For no apparent reason he begins licking the coffee mug, removing the dried brown liquid that has ran down the side. He sheepishly pushes his cards in front of him and Forrest takes down a nice pot.

Playing With Monsters

Level 8: 120,000-240,000, 30,000 ante

Sitting in a four-hand game with three guys like Joe Sebok, James Van Alstyne and Ted Forrest is never going to be easy, and doing it at this point of the tournament has to be brutal. Still Frank Selldorff acquitted himself well; only a cold deck did him in. Frank's loss to Ted Forrest's set of nines was a tough beat, but something was going to give eventually. He played a strong tournament and never seemed to be out of things. Now, Bill Edler has been moved to the table in Frank's place. I'm going to go watch the fearsome four play some pokah.

Frank Selldorff Eliminated in 9th Place.

Level 8: 120,000-240,000, 30,000 ante

Ted Forrest raises to T30,000 and is re-raises by Frabk Selldorff to T60,000. Forrest makes the call. The flop comes 10spadeJheart9club. Selldorff checks, Forrest bets T50,000 and Selldorff then moves all-in. Forst calls and shows a set of 9's. Selldorff shows KheartKclub and will need to catch a King or a Queen to stay alive. The turn is the 3club and the river is the 4diamond to eliminate Selldorff in 9th place. He will collect T70,000. Ted Forrest is now at T1,000,000 for the first time in the tournament.
