Hand #60: Daniel Makowsky Eliminated in 5th Place ($183,449)

Level 36: 125,000-250,000, 25,000 ante

Dwyte Pilgrim limps from the button for 250,000, Daniel Makowsky is all in for 25,000 from the small blind, and Kia Mohajeri checks his option in the big blind.

Both players check to the river on a board of Jspade8diamond8heartJheart7heart.

Mohajeri shows 6-2 to play the board, and Pilgrim shows A-Q for the two pair on the board with an ace kicker to take the side pot. Makowsky shows 5-5, but he was counterfeited by the board, and Pilgrim takes the main pot.

Daniel Makowsky is eliminated in fifth place, earning $183,449.

Hand #59: Ofir Mor Doubles Thru and Cripples Daniel Makowsky

Level 36: 125,000-250,000, 25,000 ante

Ofir Mor moves all in from the cutoff for about 1.9 million, and Daniel Makowsky calls from the big blind with AdiamondKheart. Mor shows AheartQspade, and he's dominated as the two players are nearly even in chips.

The board comes AclubQclub6heart7spade2heart, and Ofir comes from behind to win the pot with two pair, aces and queens. The stacks are counted down, and Makowsky had him covered by just two antes -- 50,000.

Hand #26: Dwyte Pilgrim

Level 35: 100,000-200,000, 25,000 ante

Daniel Makowsky raises under the gun to 600,000, and Dwyte Pilgrim reraises from the big blind to 1,800,000. Makowsky goes into the tank.

After a minute or so, Pilgrim and Makowsky begin quietly talking to each other. We can't hear what they're saying, but you can bet that it'll be on TV when this episode airs in early 2011.

In the audience, someone quietly plays the theme song from "Jeopardy," which gets a laugh from the crowd.

After 5 1/2 minutes, Pilgrim calls for a clock, and Makowsky has one minute to make a decision or his hand will be declared dead.

After another 45 seconds or so, Makowsky folds, and Dwyte Pilgrim takes the pot.

Hand #23: Daniel Makowsky Doubles Thru Dwyte Pilgrim

Level 34: 75,000-150,000, 25,000 ante

Dwyte Pilgrim limps from the cutoff for 150,000, Daniel Makowsky moves all in from the button for 1,475,000, and Pilgrim calls with 6diamond6spade. Makowsky shows KheartKspade, and he's a big favorite to double up here.

Before the flop comes out, Makowsky says, "Let me live, let me live."

The board comes Aheart10spade9spade8club2diamond, and Pilgrim picks up a gutshot straight draw on the turn, but improves no further. Daniel Makowsky wins the pot with his pocket kings to double up in chips.

With Pilgrim taking a hit, Kia Mohajeri becomes the new chipleader.

Daniel Makowsky Comes Clean

Level 24: 10,000-20,000, 2,000 ante

After John Leonard's elimination in 29th place, Jeff Papola is told he will be moving to Table 3 in order to balance the tables.  Daniel Makowsky seems particularly interested in Papola's departure.

"Are you moving?"

"Yeah."

"I lied earlier," Makowsky confesses.  "When I showed you the queen.  I didn't have queens."

"I know," Papola replies.

Daniel Makowsky Chipping Up

Level 2: 50-100, ante

With the board reading 9spade5heart4club2diamond and a couple thousand chips already in the pot, Daniel Makowsky (amichaiKK) bets 1,100 from under the gun and the player on the button raises to 4,600.  Makowsky quickly calls and the two watch as the river brings the Theart.

Makowsky thinks a while before checking and his opponent takes some time of his own before betting 7,500.  Makowsky tanks for a couple of minutes, mumbling something about a set.

Makowsky calls and his opponent quickly flips up Aheart6heart for  ace high.  Makowsky shows 2heart4heart for two pair and takes the pot.

Daniel Makowsky - 44,000
