Pilgrim runs off the stage, drops to his knees near Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten, and then falls to the floor face down -- we think he is crying with joy.
After about two minutes, Pilgrim slowly stands up and wipes tears from his eyes as the audience gives him a standing ovation. Kia Mohajeri is smiling and clapping near the final table as Pilgrim is speechless with tears of joy covering his face.
The runner-up is Kia Mohajeri, who earns $440,945 for second place.
Dwyte Pilgrim wins the WPT Borgata Poker Open, earning $733,802, a WPT bracelet, and his prize includes entry into the season-ending WPT World Championship at Bellagio in May, 2011. Congratulations, Dwyte!

There is a steady rumbling of chatter coming out of Dwyte Pilgrim's cheering section as they discuss their friend's chances. One railbird muses, "I think [the other guy] could get aces and Dwyte would still win."

Mohajeri limps for 400,000, and Pilgrim checks. Both players check to the turn on a board of Q658, Pilgrim bets 400,000, Mohajeri quickly raises to 1,400,000, and Pilgrim calls.
The river card is the K, Pilgrim bets 400,000, Mohajeri quickly raises to 2,900,000, and Pilgrim thinks for a moment before he says, "I'll pay you off," and he calls.
Mohajeri shows A7 for ace high, and Pilgrim shows K7 to win the pot with a pair of kings. Pilgrim says, "Gracie Jujitsu!" Then he asks Mohajeri, "Think I don't know where I'm at? Think I don't understand every facet of this game?"

Kia Mohajeri raises from the small blind to 2,000,000, Mor moves all in, and Mohajeri quickly calls with 87. Mor shows A4, and he needs it to hold in order to stay alive.
Dwyte Pilgrim stands up and says, "A quarter-million-dollar eight, or a two-hundred-thousand-dollar seven." Mor asks Pilgrim who he's rooting for to win the hand. Pilgrim says, "Two hundred thousand. I don't know who that is, I just want two hundred thousand dollars."
The board comes K7385, and Kia Mohajeri pairs his seven on the flop and his eight on the turn to win the pot with two pair. Ofir Mor is eliminated in third place, earning $266,835.
The audience cheers louder than it has all night. However, most of the cheers aren't for Kia Mohajeri winning the hand or Ofir Mor's third-place finish -- they are cheering the fact that their friend Dwyte Pilgrim just moved up in the money.

Before Hand #144 really gets going, Dwyte Pilgrim looks at Kia Mohajeri and asks, "Are you lookin' at me?"

Mohajeri remains silent and Pilgrim continues to keep on talking, rarely staying silent for more than a few seconds at a stretch.

Kia Mohajeri raises from the button to 900,000, Ofir Mor reraises from the small blind to 2,000,000, and Mohajeri thinks for about 30 seconds before he calls. The flop comes QJ5, and someone moves all in and the other one calls before we even know who did what.
Mohajeri shows KK for an overpaid, and Mor turns over AJ for a pair of jacks. Mohajeri is a favorite to double up here.
The turn is the 3, and Mor needs an ace or a jack on the river to bust Mohajeri. Dwyte Pilgrim tells Mohajeri, "He's good at these rivers, bro."
As the dealer is about to put out the river card, Pilgrim yells, "Barry Greenstein!" (Greenstein's book is titled, "Ace on the River.")
The river card is the 8, and Kia Mohajeri wins the pot with his pocket kings to double up in chips.

Ofir Mor raises from the button to 850,000, and Kia Mohajeri calls from the big blind. Both players check to the turn on a board of AQ410, Mohajeri checks, Mor bets 600,000, and Mohajeri check-raises to 1,600,000. Mor calls.
The river card is the 9, Mohajeri bets 3,000,000, and Mor goes into the tank. After a minute or so, Pilgrim (not involved in this pot) leaves the table to talk to a friend on the rail. The room is fairly silent, and Mohajeri and Mor simply stare at each other.
Pilgrim walks across to the other side of the stage, where his friends and supporters are sitting, and he walks through the stands, shaking hands and saying hello to everyone like he's a politician running for office. When we say everyone, we mean everyone. Pilgrim individually fist pumps, hugs, or shakes hands with every person in the 40-seat section. He's thanking them for their support. Back on the table, nothing has happened for more than four minutes.
Pilgrim fist-bumps the two Royal Flush Girls near the entrance as he walks by, and then Pilgrim goes into the next section of the stands to say hello to those people.
After nearly five minutes in the tank, Ofir Mor calls, and Mohajeri shows 33 for a pair of threes. Mor shows A8 to win the pot with a pair of aces, and it's a big one -- worth more than 11,000,000 in chips.
Ofir Mor just went from short stack to chipleader.

After about two minutes, there is a little bit of table talk between the players, but we can't hear what is said. Mohajeri gets up out of his seat -- something we haven't seen him do yet -- to look at Pilgrim across the table. Pilgrim is sitting motionless, wearing sunglasses and with his elbows on the table and his hands covering his mouth. Mohajeri retakes his seat and continues thinking.
For the first time tonight, the entire arena seems to be completely silent.
After nearly four minutes, Mohajeri folds, and Pilgrim's friends explode in the stands. One of them sings a lyric from "The Jeffersons:" "Moving on up, to the East Side."
Someone in the crowd says, "Show the deuce!" Pilgrim rechecks his cards, pulls one of them out, and says, "Ah, I found a deuce." Pilgrim shows the 2.
Dwyte Pilgrim is now nearing Kia Mohajeri in the chip counts.
As the next hand is being dealt, the same guy in the stands sings, "To a deluxe apartment, in the sky-hi-hi …"

The flop comes K108, Mohajeri carefully counts out a bet of 700,000, and Pilgrim literally beats him into the pot by dropping 700,000 in front of him -- the chips splash into a little pile. Pilgrim is having fun at this final table right now.
The turn card is the A, Pilgrim quickly bets 2,300,000, and Mohajeri thinks for more than a minute before raising to 7,000,000. After a minute in the tank, Pilgrim asks, "How much are you playing?"
After a full two minutes, Pilgrim folds, and Kia Mohajeri takes the pot -- and the chip lead. And possibly momentum away from Dwyte Pilgrim.

The turn is the Q, Mohajeri bets 400,000, and Pilgrim quickly calls. The announcer says that Pilgrim has yet to look at his cards. If that's true, that seems incredibly risky.
The river card is the 7, and Pilgrim bets 1,300,000. Has he really not looked at his cards? Mohajeri calls, and Pilgrim turns over A9 for ace high. Mohajeri shows K6 to win the pot with a pair of kings.
After he wins the hand, Mohajeri turns to his friends in the crowd and raises his arms as if to ask, "Where's the applause for me?" His friends applaud as he pulls in the pot.
