WPT Borgata Poker Open, Day 3 Recap By BJ Nemeth Day 3 of the WPT Borgata Poker Open started in a rush for the money bubble, which the field reached within three hours. To keep up the pace, the bubble burst in just a few hands, prompting tournament director Tab Duchateau to call it the fastest money bubble in Borgata's WPT history. Scottie Upshall (right wing for the Philadelphia Flyers) was among the first to bust out inside the money, earning $15,000 for his 52nd place finish. Upshall has already committed to donate 100% of his earnings to two charities, Flyers Wives Fight For Lives and Kids Forever Foundation. Tiffany Michelle, playing in her first major U.S. tournament since her memorable 17th-place finish in the WSOP Main Event in July, went deep once again, finishing in the money in 46th place. But she wasn't the longest-lasting female this time, as Chi Yoon went ten spots further to finish 36th. Yoon is the wife of last year's runner-up in this event, Heung "Scotty" Yoon, and they were hoping to become the first husband-and-wife duo to final table the same WPT event back-to-back. Once the bubble burst, the field played down to the final three tables, which took another five hours, and play ended about 7:00 pm ET. Brandon Cantu (32nd place, $21,000) and Ryan Young (30th place, $21,000) were the most notable bustouts late in the day. With 27 players left, the average stack is about 765,000. Here's a look at the top five players, along with a few notables further back in the pack: 1. Dan Heimiller - 2,870,000 2. Vivek Rajkumar - 1,756,000 3. Thayer Rasmussen - 1,413,000 4. Steven Levy - 1,317,000 5. Jason Strochak - 1,266,000 6. Nick Frangos - 1,140,000 8. Mark Seif - 1,087,000 12. Michael Binger - 718,000 13. Steve Dannenmann - 627,000 14. Ted Forrest - 607,000 23. Nam Le - 235,000 27. Chris Bell - 165,000 Return to WorldPokerTour.com tomorrow (Wednesday) at 11:00 am ET for complete coverage of Day 4, including hand-for-hand action from the final two tables.
