Level 10: 500-1,000, 100 ante

In one of the final hands of the night, after a flop of 7diamond6spade3club, a short-stacked player gets it all in with AheartJspade (ace high) against Kathy Liebert's QclubQheart.

Liebert was a big favorite, until the Aclub hit the turn to give her opponent a pair of aces. The river was the 3spade, and the short stack doubled up thru Liebert.

Liebert folds, and Hernandez calls with 10heart10spade. He's racing against the short-stack's AheartKspade.

The board comes QclubJdiamond3diamond7spadeQspade, and Hernandez wins the pot with his pocket tens to eliminate the other player and cross the 200,000 mark in chips to join the chipleaders.

Darryll Fish gets it all-in preflop against a player down to 17,000 chips with Fish holding AclubQspade to the other player's Aspade10heart.  The board runs out AheartKclub4spade5heartQdiamond and Fish takes the pot and eliminates the player.

Rodriguez Can't Fire At the River

Level 10: 500-1,000, 100 ante

Matt Juttlestad raises to 2,500 from middle position, Artie Rodriguez calls on the button, and Christian Harder calls out of the big blind.

All three players check the KdiamondQdiamond9diamond flop and both Juttlestad and Harder check again when the turn brings the 4spade.  Rodriguez bets 6,000, Harder calls, and Juttlestad folds.

The river is the 8spade and harder checks a third time.  Rodriguez pauses, then starts to reach for chips.  Before he bets, he puts the chips down and just tables his AspadeJspade for a busted straight draw instead.

Harder turns over 10diamond10heart for a pair of tens and takes the pot.

Artie Rodriguez - 52,000

Amnon Filippi Eliminated; Wins the Tough One, Loses the Easy One

Level 10: 500-1,000, 100 ante

Kathy Liebert raises from the cutoff to 2,500, Amnon Filippi moves all in from the big blind for 11,600, and Liebert quickly calls with KdiamondKspade. Filippi turns over 10club10heart, and he'll need to improve to stay alive.

The board comes Jclub3club2club3heart5club, and Filippi rivers a club flush to win the pot and double up in chips.

Amnon Filippi  -  24,600
Kathy Liebert  -  31,000

The next hand, a middle position player raises to 3,000, two players call, and the button reraises to 20,000. Amnon Filippi moves all in from the small blind for 24,500, and the first three players fold.

The button calls the extra 4,500 with AclubQclub, but Filippi is a big favorite with QdiamondQheart.

The board comes Jclub4diamond4spadeAheart6heart, and his opponent pairs his ace on the turn to win the pot and eliminate Filippi from the tournament.

Tony Dunst Eliminated By New Chip Leader Matt Juttelstad

Level 10: 500-1,000, 100 ante

Tony Dunst raises to 1,700 from the hijack and big stack Matt Juttelstad reraises to 4,900 out of the small blind.  Dunst calls and the two see a flop of AheartKheart2diamond.

Juttelstad bets 5,100 and Dunst takes about 15 seconds before raising to 12,500.  Juttelstad then thinks for less than a minute before firing back, making it 19,100 to play.  Dunst calls, leaving around 40,000 behind.

The turn brings the 3spade and Juttelstad eyes Dunst's stack, then checks his hole cards  before grabbing a pile of 5,000 chips and effectively putting Dunst all-in.

Dunst then checks his own cards before shrugging and saying, "I call."  Dunst turns over AdiamondQheart for top pair.  Juttelstad turns over 4spade5spade for a turned five-high straight.

"Oh wow," Dunst says in genuine surprise.  Several other players at the table let out gasps at Juttelstad's holdings.

The river brings the 4heart and Juttelstad rakes in the massive pot, eliminating Dunst in the process.  Dunst wishes the table well and heads for the door.

After Dunst is out of earshot, Juttelstad's friend and tablemate Christian Harder tells him, You know you made an illegal raise?"

Juttelstad looks confused and Harder explains that technically Juttelstad should've raised to 19,900, not 19,100, but nobody caught it as the hand was playing out.

Legal or illegal raise aside, Juttelstad is way out front of the field now with an hour of play left in the day.

Matt Juttelstad - 294,000
Tony Dunst - eliminated
