Day 1b comes to an end with 95 players remaining. There was a close battle in the final 15 minutes for the $10,000 chipleader bonus between Vivek Rajkumar (~170,000), Luis Velador (~150,000), and Isaac Baron (~130,000). 

In those final 10-15 minutes, Rajkumar lost a few pots to drop him down below 140,000. Velador lost a few pots of his own to finish below 130,000. That opened the door for Baron, who picked up a few small pots before busting Chris "Jesus" Ferguson on the last hand of the night (A-J > A-10), collecting the $5,000 bounty, the autographed t-shirt, and finishing the day with 153,700 to collect the $10,000 chipleader bonus.

There were 256 players on Day 1b, which put the two-day total up to 391. That created a total prizepool worth more than $3.7 million. The top 45 players will finish in the money, with $1,025,500 going to the winner.

Daniel Negreanu's Table of Fun

Level 10: 400-800, 100 ante

There are four bounties at a single table, but none of them are particularly juicy targets:

Paul Smith (24,000) and Adam "Roothlus" Levy (43,000) are at the same table, but Roothlus has already said that he's gonna need some help to claim one of the bounties. 

Daniel Negreanu is passing the time by offering up decks of cards featuring all 50 Shooting Stars to members of the crowd, but only if the selected person correctly answers a trivia question. The first question was classic Daniel: "Which player has the most earnings in the history of the World Poker Tour?" The woman he was asking thought for a bit, and Negreanu said, "It would be pretty vain of me to pick a question where I was the answer, wouldn't it?" She agreed, and then made an incorrect guess. (The correct answer, of course, is Daniel Negreanu.) Negreanu is spending more time on trivia with the audience than playing his cards. 

Brandon Cantu Doubles Through Eli Elezra

With the board showing K86J on the turn and about 26,000 already in the pot, Brandon Cantu is all in for a little more than 10,000 with AK (pair of kings) against Eli Elezra's J8 (two pair, jacks and eights). 

Last year's champion Cantu needs an ace, a king, or a six to stay alive, and the river card is -- the 6! 

In a moment reminiscent of last year's run, Brandon Cantu catches the card he needs exactly when he needs it to win the pot.

Daniel Negreanu Busts a Player

Daniel Negreanu raises preflop, Adam "Roothlus" Levy reraises, and the small blind moves all in. Negreanu and Levy both call. The flop comes 876, Negreanu checks, Levy bets 9,500, and Negreanu calls. Both players check the 3 on the turn and the 2 on the river. 

The small blind shows KQ for queen high, but Negreanu shows QQ for a pair of queens to win the pot and send him home.

Shooting Star Jeff Madsen Eliminated by Garrett Beckman ($5,000)

After a flop of K109, Jeff Madsen is all in from the small blind for 2,000 with J2 (flush draw) against the 94 (pair of nines) of Garrett Beckman. 

The turn is the K, the river is the 3, and Beckman wins the pot with a pair of nines. 

Shooting Star Jeff Madsen is eliminated, and Garrett Beckman collects the $5,000 bounty and the autographed t-shirt.
