In late position JC Tran opens the pot for a raise to T17,000. Prahlad Friedman in the small blind moves all in for T237,000. To his left sits Jacobo Fernandez who is currently second in chips only to JC. Fernandez wrestles with the decision before laying it down, but Prahlad is not finished sweating it out yet. News and Notes
Level 5: 200,000-400,000, 50,000 ante
A few random observations from around the floor: - Isaac Haxton's going to get his money one way or another. The twenty-one year old, who I earlier reported has had his winnings from the PCA frozen, apparently isn't letting the bad news get to him. He's been at a tough table all day, but is running it over, having built his stack to just under a half-million in chips. - Chau Giang has been tracking the Vietnamese players all day, repeatedly voicing his desire to see one make the final table. He's looking pretty good right about now. Not only does Chau have a boatload of his own, but JC Tran has regained the chip lead, while Nam Le just almost doubled up. Tran especially seems destined for TV table glory. He's playing some unbelievable poker right now. - Tuna Lund, the second place finisher at the 1990 WSOP, is sitting at a table with John Little and Jeff Cabanillas. Neither one was older than six years old in 1990.
