Cimpan's late-night collapse opened the door for Alec Torelli who ended the night with 590,200. Torelli was amongst the chipleaders for most of the day and is now followed closely by such notables as Vivek Rajkumar (494,400), Ray Henson (387,900), Adam Geyer (380,700), Kevin Saul (366,400), and Elky Grospellier (355,400).

The last few minutes of Day 2 brought plenty of action, and as some players were bagging up their chips for the night, others were shipping theirs across the table.
Rhynie Campbell was eliminated by Ralph Perry with just minutes to go when he ran his A-Q into Perry's quad sixes on a queen-high board. Campbell fails to advance to Day 3 as Perry puts himself in prime contention with just over 400,000 in chips.
Vitaly Lunkin was just eliminated by Vivek Rajkumar in the very last hand of the night when Lunkin ran his pocket kings into Rajkumar's pocket aces. Lunkin makes an untimely exit as Rajkumar ends the night with 494,400.
