Carlos Mortensen Drops to 18,000
Level 11: 600-1,200, 100 ante
After a flop of 9
8
4
with about 20,000 already in the pot, the big blind moves all in for 8,500, and Carlos Mortensen goes into the tank from early position. Mortensen only has 26,500, so this is a good part of his stack. Eventually, somebody calls time, and after another 20 seconds or so, Mortensen says, "One card. I need one card." Mortensen calls.
The big blind shows Q
10
for queen high with a gutshot straight draw, and Mortensen is doing better than he thought with 6
5
. Mortensen needs a seven for a straight, a six or a five for a pair, or running clubs for a flush.
The turn pairs the board with the 9
, and the river is the 10
. The big blind wins the pot with a pair of tens, and Carlos Mortensen drops down to about 18,000 in chips.

Level 11: 600-1,200, 100 ante
With the board showing A
J
4
8
on the turn and approximately 30,000 already in the pot, George Dunst bets 28,000 from the big blind. Patrik Antonius is on the button, and he goes into the tank for nearly five minutes before another player calls time. Antonius rechecks his cards twice before flashing the A
and folding.
George Dunst mucks his cards without showing, and collects the pot to build his stack to about 117,500. Patrik Antonius drops down to a still healthy 132,000.

Q
on the button against the big blind's K
K
. The final board showed J
2
2
10
3
, and the kings held up to win the pot.
Both stacks were counted down, and the big blind had 33,300. Timoshenko had slightly less, and was eliminated from the tournament.

Patrik Antonius Eliminates Another Player, Runs Stack Up to 150k
Level 11: 600-1,200, 100 ante
On the turn, with the board reading J
10
3
6
, Patrik Antonius bets 12,000. His opponent goes into the tank for several minutes as he counts out his remaining chips before moving all in for nearly 40,000. Antonius insta-calls and shows Q
J
for top pair. His opponent has A
Q
and plenty of outs with a nut flush draw, gutshot straight draw, and an ace to make a better pair (pairing the queen would give Antonius two pair). Antonius fades the river which brings the 10
to eliminate his opponent and run his stack up to nearly 150,000.
