Canada's favorite player, Daniel Negreanu, is eliminated from the tournament. He is still looking for his first major tournament victory on Canadian soil.

Vannessa Rousso Takes a Pot

Rousso check-raises to 9,000, and the big blind thinks for a moment before he folds. Vanessa Rousso takes the pot, building her stack back up to about 60,000 in chips.

Darus Suharto Knocks Out a Player

Darus Suharto of the "November Nine" raises from the button. The big blind moves all in for 6,500 more. Suharto makes the call showing AK and is in good shape against the A10 of his opponent. The board comes J6527 and Suharto takes the pot, eliminating his opponent.

With three players in the pot the board reads 634K and Matt Matros and Vanessa Rousso check action over to a player in late position. He bets 4,000 and is check-raised by Matros to 10,000. Rousso gets out of the way and the player in late position calls. The river is the J. Matros asks for a count from his opponent. When the dealer counts out 19,900 Matros announces that he is all in. His opponent folds without a second thought. After picking up the pot, Matros is up to 167,000 chips. Matros has previously made a WPT final table at the Championship in 2004 where he finished in third place for over $700,000.

Seat 4 calls and turns over K7 for a flush draw and an open-ended straight draw. Tran shows 65 for bottom two pair. The turn and river bring the A and the 7, no help for seat 5 who is eliminated from the tournament. After this hand, J.C. Tran grabs the chip lead with just under 300,000.
