Sixty Second Spotlight: Darus Suharto

Level 40: 2,000,000-4,000,000, 300,000 ante

November Nine member Darus Suharto is currently our chip leader with 145,000. Prior to this summer, Darus was just an accountant based out of the Toronto area and an unknown to the poker community. With only one recorded cash prior to the 2008 Main Event, he has now locked up a guaranteed prize of over $900,000 with a chance to win up to $9 million and a shot of poker immortality. He goes into the World Series final table 6th in chips. Darus Suharto seems to have gained instant credibility from his poker peers and has been seen chatting it up with Daniel Negreanu and John "The Razor" Phan throughout the day. Doing well at this tournament could consummate his place at the top of the poker world, proving that he's no one shot wonder.

Peter Feldman Crippled

Level 40: 2,000,000-4,000,000, 300,000 ante

On a board of Jspade6diamond6club8diamond a player bets 6,000 into Peter Feldman. Feldman makes the call. The river brings the Jheart. Feldman's opponent moves all in for 16,575 and immediately Feldman looks confused and skeptical. He counts out the necessary amount needed to call and sees he would only have about 7,000 left if he makes the call. He then puts in the chips. His opponent shows AheartAdiamond. Feldman mucks and is left with just over 11 big blinds.

Erik Cajelais Calls a 17,000 All In with K-10

Level 40: 2,000,000-4,000,000, 300,000 ante

After a series of raises, Erik Cajelais contemplates the all in re-raise of 17,625 from his opponent while he sits in the big blind. Cajelias thinks it over as he stares back and forth between his opponent, his own cards and the 25,000 that was already in the pot before the all-in raise. He makes the call and turns over Kdiamond10spade which gets the table talking. The small blind shows 9spade9diamond. The board comes 8club4heart6diamondAdiamond3spade and the small blind's pair of nines hold up.
