Ted Forrest Has a Good Couple of Minutes
Level 4: 200-400, 50 ante
Less than ten minutes ago, Ted Forrest was down to about 6,000. But he's had a pretty good run since then.
He doubled up a few hands ago with pocket fours against another player's A-10. That hand was reported earlier, but we've just learned that Forrest received some additional luck -- if the player with A-10 didn't push, another player would have called Forrest with pocket eights and busted him.
In this hand, the flop comes 8
7
4
, and Ted Forrest moves all in from the big blind for 11,700. Ryan Young thinks for a moment before he calls from middle position with 9
8
. Forrest shows J
4
for a pair of fours with a flush draw, and he'll need to improve to stay alive.
The turn is the 2
, but the river is the 4
. Ted Forrest rivers trip fours to win the pot and double up to more than 26,000 in chips. A heck of a comeback from 6,000, but he's still well behind the average stack of 42,000.
