Phil Hellmuth Loves His Fans

Level 24: 10,000-20,000, 3,000 ante

After taking a moment or two to compose himself, Hellmuth returns to the tournament area and the crowd offers him a rousing round of applause.  He takes the time to sign Seth's t-shirt, waves to the crowd and makes his exit.  He doesn't leave the casino just yet though and is currently hobknobbing with fans in the area just outside the stage.  His lifecoach, Sam Chauhan, is also in the crowd.

Hand #41: Phil Hellmuth Eliminated in 6th Place ($117,000)

Level 24: 10,000-20,000, 3,000 ante

Phil Hellmuth completes the small blind to 20,000, Andy Seth raises from the big blind to 80,000, and Hellmuth reraises to 280,000. Seth thinks for a bit before he moves all in, and Hellmuth calls with QdiamondQspade. Seth shows AclubJclub, and he'll need to improve to bust Hellmuth and claim his bounty.

Seth says, "We need two clubs here, just for the sweat."

The flop comes Kdiamond6spade5spade, and Hellmuth retains the lead. The turn card is the 10heart, giving Seth additional outs to a gutshot straight.

The river card is -- the Aheart

The crowd explodes in reaction, while Hellmuth just sits at the table, stunned. Hellmuth slowly takes off his sunglasses, takes a deep breath, and shakes hands with the other players at the table.

Then Hellmuth steps off the stage, kneels down, and drops down to the floor in a little ball. The other players expected a blowup, but not this. Someone asks if he needs a doctor, and Seth asks, "Do you think he'll sign my bounty shirt?"

Hellmuth finally gets up, and walks over to one of the WPT producers to tape his exit interview.

If it hasn't been mentioned, Andy Seth wins the pot with a pair of aces, and he also claims the bounty on Shooting Star Phil Hellmuth  -- his fourth of the tournament, passing Mclean Karr who busted three Shooting Stars. In addition to a large pot, Seth earns $5,000 and a t-shirt that may or may not be autographed.
