Battle of the Blinds

Level 40: 1,000,000-2,000,000, 300,000 ante

On a flop of 8diamond7heart2spade Alan Goehring raises T3,500 in the big blind and everyone folds to seat ten, who calls in the small blind. The turn card is the Jdiamond and seat ten bets T4,500. Goehring calls and the river card is the 4heart. Seat ten bets T2,700 and Goehring raises to T7,000. Seat ten goes into the tank for about five minutes and then his cell phone rings. He turns it off and goes back into the tank for another couple minutes while the dealer plays air piano. Seat three has enough of this and calls the clock. About halfway through his final countdown seat ten mucks Jheart9spade face-up into the middle of the table. Goehring remarks, "You folded jack-nine," then quickly flashes his hold cards to the table, a jack and a nine.

Eli

Level 40: 1,000,000-2,000,000, 300,000 ante

Eli Elezra is making one heck of a comeback. The cash game player was down to a miniscule T1,600 before he started moving his chips in. Twelve times he was all-in, but he's managed to survive and is now up to a little over T25,000, a sliver above the tournament average.

Tony Servello gives away his chips, Finally!

Level 40: 1,000,000-2,000,000, 300,000 ante

In a strong attempt to go home, once very healhy in chips, Tony Servello, has finally gotten his wish. Moving all in blind with T12000 will do the trick. His 7-2 off suit miracle the hand before was in fact a miracle. This time he flipped over Jheart6heart and his opponent who called turned over Adiamond10heart The cards came 5heart7heart2spade3clubQspade Servello did flop a flush draw, but received no help on the turn and river. He said, "I want to go home. I'm tired. I can make more money playing at home on-line." He got his wish... Now table #28 can resume playing nice slow conservative poker the way the rest of the field has. Tournament Director just announced we are down to 217 players.

Howard Goldfarb

Level 40: 1,000,000-2,000,000, 300,000 ante

Apparently, the fatigue grabbed me before I knew it. The player I listed earlier as 'Howard Greenbaum' is actually Howard Goldfarb. Thanks to the folks who called the mistake in.

You've got to be kidding me

Level 40: 1,000,000-2,000,000, 300,000 ante

Tony Servello must have just read my blog. In an attempt to speed things up, he inexplicably moved all-in blind for T7,000 and change. He flipped up 7-2 off-suit, but his day was salvaged when he hit a runner-runner full house. I'm speechless. No one is ever getting eliminated ever again, ever. Ever.
