Vivek Rajkumar Eliminates James Mackey ($100,000)

Level 1: 100-200, ante

James Mackey (about 7,000) raises to 600, and Vivek Rajkumar (about 33,000) calls. The flop comes Jdiamond9diamond7heart, Vivek checks, Mackey bets 800, Vivek moves all in, and Mackey calls with Qspade9spade (pair of nines). Vivek shows AdiamondAspade for a pair of aces, and Mackey will need to improve to stay alive.

The turn card is the 8diamond, and Mackey picks up a gutshot straight draw, while Vivek picks up a diamond flush draw.

The river card is the 10diamond, completing both draws. Vivek Rajkumar wins the pot -- and the match -- with an ace-high diamond flush.

James Mackey is eliminated in third place, earning $100,000. We ran down his path through this tournament just a short while ago, and you can read it by scrolling down this page.

Vivek Rajkumar advances to the final match as the sole survivor from the Loser's Bracket. He'll be facing Chris Moore, undefeated champion of the Winner's Bracket. Since Moore hasn't lost a single match yet, he only needs to win one out of two matches to win the tournament, while Vivek will need to win two in a row.

The final match of the LAPC's $10,000 Heads-Up Championship will be starting soon. Stay tuned!
