Level 8: 800,000-1,600,000, 300,000 ante
- Love him or hate him, Jamie Gold’s stacking of Adam Weinraub was brilliant. He more or less told Weinraub what he had without actually doing so, verbally eliminating the other legitimate hands he could have by saying “I promise I have no pair, no ace-four” with the only straight draw on the board 5-3-2 and no possible flushes. Adam refused to believe him and put his remaining chips in with pocket threes for a set. Jamie had 6-4. - Weinraub was replaced at the table by Martin de Knijff, the season two world champion. Martin is now seated next to season three champ Tuan Le, who is seated next to Gold. - Jamie Gold and Phil Hellmuth have an interesting little bet going here. If Jamie makes it to day two, Phil will owe him $10,000. If Jamie doesn't advance, he'll owe Phil a cool thirty grand.

Gold Eliminates Adam Weinraub
Level 8: 800,000-1,600,000, 300,000 ante
After a flop of J

WPT Invitational winner Adam Weinraub bet and was quickly called by Jamie Gold. The turn comes the 2
and both players check.
The river is the 8
. Weinraub bets T5,000 and Gold says "How much do I need to bet to make you fold?" and raises to T12,000. Action gets back to Weinraub and Gold starts up with his famous antagonistic table talk. Phrases like "you can't call that bet...I might only have a high card...I don't have Ace-four" escape his lips. The banter seems to get on Weinraub's nerves and he re-raises all-in. Gold insta calls and shows 6

.
Weinraub flips over pocket 3's in his last act at the table. The former champion makes his exit and Gold adds over T35,000 to his stack.

Level 8: 800,000-1,600,000, 300,000 ante
- Will “The Thrill” Pailla has pledged me 0.5% of his winnings just for the insurance we’d be covering him in Live Updates. Who the hell am I to say no? - David Williams is sitting right next to Marcel Luske. You may remember that Marcel and David sat next to each other for four days in the 2004 WSOP, with Williams giving a large amount of the credit for his second place finish there to Luske for discussing strategy and teaching Dave throughout the tournament. - Liz Lieu made a sick, sick fold a little while ago. With over T40,000 in the pot, Liz held pocket aces in the face of a 9-9-2 flop. When her opponent raised her post-flop bet, she made the laydown. Her opponent revealed he held pocket twos for the full house. - It should be interesting to see if there’s any interaction here between Phil Ivey and Ram Vaswani who are both in the room today. The two are embroiled in a big controversy concerning a high stakes gold game they played in Australia a few months ago, and Ram reportedly has not paid Phil the high six-figure sum he owes.
