Short Handed Action Early
Level 1: 50-100, ante
There are currently over twenty tournament tables running in the Hard Rock Live arena, but none of them are playing nine-handed. in fact, Allen Bari's table started out heads-up. Bari, who finished fifth here last year, joked that everyone at his table already busted.
Bari did get some company though, as Jon Aguiar walked in ten minutes late and has joined the line-up.

WPT Returns to the Seminole Hard Rock
Level 1: 50-100, ante
It is hard to believe that a year has passed since the World Poker Tour hosted its first-ever Florida poker tournament. Last year the Seminole Hard Rock Showdown was a bold experiment and foray into the Florida live tournament scene.
The results were impressive. There was a field of 433 players, one of the biggest prize pools of the season, and a seven-figure payday for Champion Taylor von Kriegenbergh.
Once again, we are expecting a large field for this $10,000 buy-in event. Reigning WPT Player of the Year Andy Frankenberger, Florida locals Matt Waxman and Jason Mercier, and von Kriegenbergh are all expected to be in attendance along with a host of other pros and local players looking to be the next WPT Champions Club member.
Play is set to get underway at 12pm ET. Players who want to take part in the event have until the start of play on Day 2 to sign up.
