Phil Ivey: Chipleader
Level 30: 100,000-200,000, 30,000 ante
As the field approaches the money, Phil Ivey appears to be the chipleader with about 550,000 in chips. So it's worth mentioning one of the most interesting streaks in World Poker Tour history. Phil Ivey is tied with Daniel Negreanu and Scotty Nguyen for the most final tables in WPT history with seven. But while Nguyen has 12 total WPT cashes and Negreanu has 14, Ivey only has seven -- the seven times he reached the final table. To this point in Ivey's WPT career, if he has reached the money, he has reached the final table. He's 7-for-7. So as the field approaches the money bubble, keep an eye on Ivey. It'll be interesting to see whether or not Ivey can keep this unique streak alive. Will Ivey bust out of the tournament just shy of the money, like he did at the WPT Five Diamond Classic two months ago? (He started the day as chipleader, and busted three spots short of the money.) Or will Ivey parlay a money finish into a final table, like he has seven times before? Stay tuned.

The Shark Moves All In
Level 30: 100,000-200,000, 30,000 ante
Seat 7 raises 10,000 preflop and Humberto Brenes moves all in with much fanfare and pageantry. He moves into the shark-mode that he is famous for and his opponent goes into the tank. He eventually folds and the table begs Brenes to show his hand. "You know there is only two hands I would do that with," says Brenes. Mark Seif then says, "Ace and kings, or queens and ace-king, you would move with any of those."

80 Players Remain; Top 63 Get Paid

There are nine tables still in play, with 80 players remaining in the field. The average chip count is 166,000. The top 63 players will finish in the money, and with an hour and 20 minutes before dinner (6:00 pm), it looks like we won't hit the money bubble until after dinner. But the bubble should burst before the end of the day.
