Shuffle Up & Deal!

WPT Commentator Mike Sexton and the Royal Flush Girls were joined by Playground Poker Club Tournament Director Martin Roy as they welcomed the players with the traditional "shuffle up and deal."
As action begins, the tournament clock shows 133 players in the field, but keep in mind that registration is open until the end of Level 6 (about 6:30 pm), and there are three starting days -- players who bust can re-enter on Day 1B and/or Day 1C.
The field will play 10 one-hour levels today, with a 45-minute dinner break after Level 6. If all goes as scheduled, action should end around 10:50 pm ET.
The opening blinds are 50-100, and players start with 30,000 in chips (300 big blinds). Shuffle up and deal!

PartyPoker WPT Canadian Spring Championship Set to Start
Level 1: 50-100, ante
Welcome to coverage of the PartyPoker WPT Canadian Spring Championship. The WPT returns to Quebec for a secong time and the Playground Poker Club is once againsr host to the tournament, which features a $3,300 (CAD) buy-in.
Back in November, Jonathan Roy topped the massive field of 1,173 for $779,710. The turnout is once again expected to surpass 1,000 players and already spotted among the masses are Jeff Madsen, Joe Serock, Huck Seed, Phil Laak, and WPT Player of the Year points leader Matt Salsberg.
Play is scheduled to kickoff within the next half hour, so be sure to keep it locked in here throughout the day as the quest begins to crown the newest WPT Champion!
