Day 3 Recap
Level 40: 1,000,000-2,000,000, 300,000 ante
When Jim Worth started playing online, he chose the moniker ‘KrazyKanuck’. That’s why it was hardly a shock to see him whooping it up, his girlfriend Monica in his arms, looking like anything but a man who’d just finished a thirteen hour session of poker. Worth’s pocket nines had a huge edge after he’d gotten all-in against Adam Dunkel’s pocket fives pre-flop. The board held up and Worth, the man whose nickname waves the Canadian flag, had his first World Poker Tour final table at this, the first ever Canadian WPT. Worth is joined by a strong cast of characters. John Juanda, one of the best in the world, enters play with the small stack. The lone American, John may be outnumbered as John Lam, Soren Tukewitsch, Marc Karam and chip leader Jason Sagle join Worth in representing their country. Tomorrow, these six will experience the bright lights of the WPT stage. Vince and mike and Sabina will be here to call the action, and ‘Use the force’ Lucchesi, Tony Berns and I will be updating right here live. Be sure to come back and see how it all ends. It’s going to be a krazy ride.

High Standards
Level 40: 1,000,000-2,000,000, 300,000 ante
Jim "KrazyKanuck" Worth, the best-known Canadian still alive in this, the first Canadian WPT, has taken to a special method of keeping his eye on the ball. When Eric Cajelais got knocked out, I saw KK take a folded piece of paper out of his pocket and scratch something out. I took a look and it was the payout structure. All of those finishes that had already been determined were scratched out by pen. At the top of the list, beside the number one, were three symbols: A five pointed star and two capital letter K's. Apparently, second won't be good enough.

Juanda takes a wild hit

Erik Cajelais, down to T200,000, pushes all-in with pocket 9's. Juanda calls holding K-2 suited. The cards come Ace-King-King-Blank-9! Juanda's small roller coaster gave him trips on the flop only to get beat by a full house on the river.
