Is It a Slowroll? Allen Kessler Tanks With A-K
Level 7: 250-500, 50 ante

Allen Kessler raises under the gun to 1,200, and a player in late position moves all in for about 21,500. According to Matt Affleck (at the same table), that player has open-shoved for about 20,000 quite a few times.
Action folds back to Kessler, who asks for an exact count and calls the media over while he thinks. Affleck tells the media, "You're missing an Allen Kessler slowroll!"
Kessler eventually calls with AK, and his opponent turns over KQ. Kessler is a dominant favorite here, but he still averts his eyes like he's expecting a bad beat here.
The board comes 105379, and miracle of miracles, Kessler's dominating hand holds up to win the pot. His opponent is eliminated as Kessler increases his stack to cross the 100,000 mark.

After the busted player leaves, Affleck says, "I'm not gonna lie, Allen. I like you a lot, but I was rooting for you to lose."
Kessler says, "Of course. You wanted him to double up in chips." The players then discuss how poorly the other guy was playing, and they were all hoping to get a chance to win his chips.
