Brecher spoils Kathy Liebert's run at multiple spots in the record books. The key moment came with three players remaining in Hand #178, when Brecher was all in preflop with AQ against Kathy's AK. The board came KJ
5107, and Brecher doubled into the chip lead with an ace-high straight. If Liebert's dominating hand holds up there, Brecher would have busted third, and Liebert would have had a 2.3-to-1 chip lead over Chris Moore.
This is the first major tournament victory for Steve Brecher, and he also becomes the latest WPT Poker-Made Millionaire.
