Keith Lehr Keeps an Eye Out For Trouble
Level 7: 400-800, 100 ante
Keith Lehr has been very talkative at his table early, telling everyone that his wife has swine flu, so he might be willing to gamble so if he busts he can go home and take care of her. Lehr also says he promised his son he would take him to the Super Bowl if the New Orleans Saints won the NFC Championship. (They won it yesterday.) His son just texted him to ask when his Dad was going to buy the tickets.
A few minutes later, Keith Lehr raises from middle position to 7,300, and the guy on his left moves all in from late position. Lehr calls with KK, dominating his opponent's KJ. The board comes 76339, and Lehr wins the pot with his pocket kings.
As Lehr starts scooping in the pot, his opponent stands up and extends his arm to shake Lehr's hand. But Lehr completely ignores him. His opponent gets a little indignant, asking why Lehr won't shake his hand. Lehr looks up at him and says, "I'm sorry, I didn't notice. I'm blind in my left eye."
His opponent doesn't seem to believe him, saying something like, "You knew what you were doing." To prove his blindness, Lehr removes his fake left eye.
That pretty much ends the debate right there.
