Karr Eliminated by Stojanovic
Level 9: 400-800, 100 ante
Featured Blog, McLean Karr, Darko Stojanovic, Montesino, WPT Vienna, Season X
It was clear as crystal that McLean Karr was waiting for the right time to take advantage of the overly aggressive approach of Darko Stojanovic, but unfortunately, when you are hot you are hot!
We didn't see the hand but Andy Black described what had happened. Karr had flopped the nuts with a re-draw to the flush holding 3 2 on a board of Ax 4x 5x (two clubs) and Darko Stojanovic was in the hand with the J 4. Three streets of strong betting by Karr were called by his opponent, including a river shove, but unfortunately the river was a third club handing Stojanovic a higher flush.
So Karr is out, Stojanovic has 320,000 chips and nobody will be wearing a catsuit come the WSOP in the summer!
