Brandon Steven Doubles Through Owen Crowe
Level 15: 2,500-5,000, 500 ante
Jason Koon raises to 10,000 in early position and Brandon Steven reraises to 25,000 behind him. Michael Benvenuti makes it 60,000 to go from the hijack and action folds to Owen Crowe in the small blind.
Crowe doesn't think long before announcing he is all-in. Before Koon can fold, Steven quickly announces he is all-in as well. Crowe has around 275,000 and Steven has slightly less than that with with 259,100. Benvenuti shrugs and folds ace-king face up.
Crowe has the same hand, AK, but Steven has the best of it with AA. The board runs out QQT67 and Steven's aces hold to give him the gigantic pot on the last hand before break.
Once the stacks are counted down, it is determined that Crowe has Steven covered by just 13,000 chips, which means he will return from break with just three big blinds. Steven, meanwhile, is now top five in chips with 585,000.
Brandon Steven - 585,000 (146 big blinds)
Owen Crowe - 13,000 (3 big blinds)
