Day 4 Ends with 15 Players and Joe Serock Leading
Level 20: 5,000-10,000, 1,000 ante
The fourth day of the Seminole Hard Rock Showdown is in the books and the final fifteen players are headed home to get some rest before tomorrow.
Joe Serock just barely edged out Robert Georato for the honor of overnight chip leader with 1,061,000 chips to Georato's 1,054,000. Serock has momentum on his side considering he is just five weeks removed from a third place finish in the Bay 101 Shooting Star Main Event. Both Serock and Fred Goldberg have a chance to make a real splash in the WPT Player of the Year race. Goldberg can take the lead with a fifth place finish or better, while Serock can take control with fourth or better.
Justin Zaki and Tommy Vedes also have more at stake than just a payday. These two are aiming to return to the Seminole Hard Rock Showdown for the second consecutive year. Both are in the bottom half of the counts though and will have to do some work on Sunday if they want a second chance at this title.
Day 5 action will get underway tomorrow at 12pm ET in the poker room, where the final fifteen players will keep playing until the televised six-handed final table is set.
Here are the top five stacks headed into Day 5 action:
1. Joe Serock - 1,061,000 (88 BBs)
2. Robert Georato - 1,054,000 (87 BBs)
3. Kyle Bowker - 980,000 (81 BBs)
4. John Dolan - 900,000 (75 BBs)
5. Ravi Raghavan - 672,000 (56 BBs)
