Seat 6: Ran Azor
Level 26: 60,000-120,000, 15,000 ante
2,525,000 (5th in chips, 21 big blinds)
Ran Azor is a 45-year-old from Israel who works in construction, and he took a very different route into this event than the other five players. While he's been playing poker for five years, he is not a professional, and he has just one prior cash on his poker resume -- a victory in a $2,000 No-Limit Hold'em event in last summer's Bellagio Cup IV. With his victory, he earned a seat into this event, and Azor is making the most of it.
Azor is already guaranteed to cash for more than he won in that event last summer. He is already guaranteed fourth place on Israel's all-time money list for poker players, and a second-place finish here would move him into first place among his fellow countrymen.
But starting with the second-shortest stack is going to be tough for the least-experienced high-stakes tournament player at the table.
