Hand #154: Daniel Alaei Wins WPT Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic ($1,428,430)

Level 29: 120,000-240,000, 20,000 ante

Daniel raises to 700,000, and Josh calls. The flop comes 10diamond5diamond2spade, Josh checks, Daniel bets 900,000, and Josh says, "I'm all in." Daniel thinks for about 15 seconds before he calls with 10heart8diamond (pair of tens). Josh turns over 7heart7spade, and he'll need to improve to stay alive.

The turn card is the 6heart, the river card is the 8club, and Daniel Alaei wins the pot -- and the tournament -- with two pair, tens and eights.

Josh Arieh is the runner-up, earning $952,290.

Daniel Alaei wins the WPT Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic, earning $1,428,430, a Rolex watch from Bellagio, a WPT bracelet, and that includes his $25,500 entry into the 2010 WPT World Championship this April.

Congratulations to Daniel Alaei!
