Jamey Kramer Eliminated by Carlos Mortensen

Level 14: 2,000-4,000, 500 ante

Joe Serock raises from early position to 9,000, Carlos Mortensen reraises from middle position to 18,000, and Todd Terry calls from late position. Jamey Kramer tanks from the cutoff.

While Kramer is thinking, Level 14 comes to an end, and the other table leaves for a 15-minute break. The tournament clock begins counting down the break, and Todd Terry asks a nearby floorperson, "Can we hold the clock until this hand is done? I have a feeling this one could take a while." The floorperson tells him that if the hand lasts a long time, they'll put some time back on the clock to extend the break.

Kramer eventually calls from the cutoff, and Serock quickly folds. There are three players in the pot.

The flop comes 9heart5club4heart, Mortensen checks, Terry checks, and Kramer moves all in for 84,500. Mortensen calls, and Terry folds QclubQdiamond face up and says, "I'm glad I played this the way I did."

Kramer shows JheartJspade for an overpair, but Mortensen shows 5heart5spade for a set of fives. Kramer will need to improve to stay alive.

The turn is the 6heart, and Kramer picks up a heart flush draw. The river card is the 8spade, and Mortensen wins the pot with his set of fives to eliminate Kramer from the tournament.

Carlos Mortensen  -  288,500
