Day 4 RECAP
Level 20: 40,000-80,000, 10,000 ante
Day 4 of the Grand Prix de Paris is all about making the TV show. 27 players started the day and only 6 will see the TV spot light. The TV Final 6 will be: Seat 1 - Thomas Wahlroos (653,000) Seat 2 - Philip Yeh (456,000) Seat 3 - Jani Sointula (647,000) Seat 4 - Christian Grundtvig (625,000) Seat 5 - Henrik Witt (649,000) Seat 6 - Patrick Schuhl (455,000) Phil Hellmuth's bid to become the first American to win this prestigious event fell short when Hellmuth couldn't get a lucky break as he continues to get chopped away, losing pots after pots. Hellmuth finished 16th place. Surinder Sunar came into Day 4 with the shortest stack and was eliminated early in the day. His bid to become the first 2-time winner of a single WPT event fell short. Christer Johansson also fell short of the same accomplishment, finishing 13th place overall. Four players are within 28,000 of each other at the top. Philip Yeh (456,000) and Patrick Schuhl (455,000) can easily become the chip leader with just one big pot. The Grand Prix de Paris will crown a new champion tomorrow. Who will it be? Come back tomorrorw at 5:00am (PST) or 2:00pm (local time). Official Chip Counts are up. Click on OFFICIAL CHIP COUNT. Also, click on TOURNAMENT PICTURES to see the FINAL TABLE.
