Madsen Gets Paid Off With Quads
Level 2: 100-200, ante
It's a rarity these days for a player to win two WSOP Bracelets in one year, but we actually have two players that have accomplished that feat seated together at table 56. Brock Parker took down both the $2,500 Limit and No Limit 6-max events at this summers Series. In 2006 Jeff Madsen won two bracelets as well, one in a $5,000 NL 6-max tournament, and the other in a $2,000 No Limit event. In the following hand the two would get tangled up in a big pot:
With 20,500 in the pot, both Parker and Madsen check after a flop of Q74. The turn brings the 10 and after another check from Parker in middle position, Madsen bet 16,500. Parker took his time before making the call.
The river was the Q and Parker checks for the third time in a row. Madsen moves all in for 28,375 and after about two minutes in the tank, Parker calls.
Parker mucks his hand and Madsen drags in the large pot with quads.
Jeff Madsen - 109,875
Brock Parker - 14,500
