Tom "Durrrr" Dwan Eliminated by Faraz Jaka
Level 9: 800-1,600, 200 ante
There are still quite a few players in the field with a shot at catching Faraz Jaka in the WPT's Player of the Year race, but he isn't going to make it easy. If he makes the final table, he is in control of his own destiny.
Faraz Jaka raises from middle position, Tom "Durrrr" Dwan calls from the small blind, and Shawn Buchanan calls from the big blind. The flop comes KQ7x, Dwan bets, Buchanan folds, and Jaka calls.
The turn card is the 7, which pairs the board with three diamonds. Dwan checks, Jaka bets, and Dwan moves all in. Jaka calls with A9 for the ace-high flush, and Dwan shows 76 for trip sevens.
Dwan needs the board to pair to stay alive, but the river card is a blank, and Jaka wins the pot with his heart flush. Tom Dwan is eliminated from the tournament.
