Hand #21: Soheil Cracks Stout's Aces to Take the Lead; Dobrilovic Eliminated in 10th Place ($46,499)
Level 21: 12,000-24,000, 3,000 ante
Hand #21 - Soheil Shamseddin raises from middle position to 60,000, Matt Stout calls from middle position, Curt Kohlberg calls from the button, and Tom Dobrilovic moves all in from the big blind for 486,000.
Shamseddin moves all in over the top of Dobrilovic for about 1.1 million, and then there is a big gasp when chipleader Matt Stout announces that he is all in over the top of both of them for about 2.2 million. Kohlberg quickly folds, and here's what they show in descending order of chip counts:
Matt Stout: AA
Soheil Shamseddin: 99
Tom Dobrilovic: KK
As Stout turned over his hand, he smiled and said, "I got what I'm s'posed to got."
The flop comes J108, and Soheil picks up an open-ended straight draw for additional outs.
The turn card is the 7, and Soheil fills his jack-high straight to clinch the pot and more than double up. (The meaningless river card is the 6.) When the straight hit, Soheil didn't celebrate, but just smiled and stepped away from the table.
Tom Dobrilovic is eliminated in 10th place, earning $46,499, and Soheil Shamseddin becomes the new chipleader. Once all the chips were sorted out on the table, Soheil gave the female dealer a kiss on the cheek.
Soheil Shamseddin - 2,800,000
Matt Stout - 1,160,000
Tom Dobrilovic - Out in 10th Place ($46,499)
