Sears and Gimbel Get It All In
Level 3: 100-200, ante
Nikolai Sears raises to 450 from mid position and Walter Sascha calls before Harrison Gimbel squeezes out a three-bet from the button making it 2,000 to play. Sears makes the call and Sascha folds leaving the two Americans to share a flop of 8 7 3. Sears checks to Gimbel and he makes a 2,350 c-bet, a bet that is called by Sears. The turn is the A and after Sears checks Gimbel fires his second barrel of 4,650. Sears has around 23,000 in front of him and he picks up one 5k chip and puts it across the line.
Our final card is the K and Sears checks once more. Gimbel loads up his gun and fires a third cordite-stenched barrel at Sears, this time for all of his remaining chips.
"I call," says Sears calmly.
The tension waivers as Gimbel turns over Q 9 for the bluff and Sears shows A Q for the winning hand.
"I know his range well enough to make the call," says Sears.
Sears ~ 58,000
Gimbel _ 20,550
