Dwyte Pilgrim Doubles Up to Take the Chip Lead
Level 14: 1,200-2,400, 400 ante
We missed the action, but the players at Dwyte Pilgrim's table kindly filled us in on how Pilgrim won a massive pot to double up and take the chip lead.
A player in late position raised to 5,800 and Dwyte Pilgrim reraised to 9,800. The other player called and they went heads-up to a flop of AQ10. Pilgrim bet 12,000 and the other player called. The turn brought the 10 and Pilgrim bet 18,000. The other player called.
The river was the J and Pilgrim bet around 85,000. The other player moved all-in, having Pilgrim's remaining 160,000 or so just covered. Pilgrim's opponent called with J-10 for a rivered full house, but Pilgrim had a bigger full house with QQ.
It is taking several minutes to count down the players' chips and stack up Pilgrim's bounty, but he appears to be chip leader with around 540,000.
Dwyte Pilgrim - 540,000
