Abraham Mosseri was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. At an early age, he took to the game of backgammon and soon became a member of an elite group of professional backgammon players. While not playing his game of choice, he became involved in a number of business endeavors, including a stint as a Wall Street trader.

Through his contacts in the backgammon world, Abe became interested in another game of skill called poker. He improved his game as he played with friends, so much so that he ventured into casinos in the Atlantic City area and began playing his aggressive, fearless game there. Success was his for the taking.

Abe has remained mainly a strong cash game player, even playing for stakes as high as $4000-$8000 in the Big Game at the Bellagio with players like Doyle Brunson, Jennifer Harman, and Barry Greenstein. On the tournament circuit, he has also done well. In his first tournament cash in 2003, he made a World Poker Tour final table at the Five Diamond World Poker Classic and finished in fourth place for nearly $175,000. Along with a WSOP cash, he also went deep in another WPT tournament " the 2007 World Championship " where he placed 46th for over $60,000.
