Hailing from Germany, Ali Tekintamgac has been playing poker for nearly twenty years, but only recently did he shift his focus from cash games to tournaments. Tekintamgac gained tournament experience at Kings Casino in the Czech Republic, posting consistent cashes in events at the casino throughout 2009. As his list of scores grew, Tekintamgac started to branch out. In the spring of 2010, Tekintamgac cashed in the EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo. A month later, Tekintamgac netted the biggest score of his career when he won Season IX’s WPT Spanish Championship in Barcelona. Tekintamgac defeated a field of 326 runners to capture the title as well as €278,000 in prize money.
