Andres Alvarez Vidal is relatively new to the tournament scene, though he's been playing Texas Hold'Em for more than three years. An Engineer with a degree from Central University of Venezuela, Andres began playing poker at the insistence of his friends - he hated people always complaining about his Blackjack habit, so he gave poker a try. Three years later Andres turned that try into triumph at the 2008 WPT Spanish Championship. With a 4th place finish at a World Poker Tour final table and over $137,000 in cash, Alvarez Vidal can play any game he wants.
