Anthony Fagan was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, and he began playing poker in his early teenage years with friends. Though the cards were always a passion for him, it was a keen business sense that brought him into the business world as an entrepreneur. After years as a chef, he finally started and currently owns Charlie Chan's, a Chinese restaurant in Dublin.

Using his free time to play poker when possible, Anthony frequented local card clubs in Europe and spent some time playing cash games and the occasional small buy-in tournament. During the second season of the World Poker Tour, as poker was gaining popularity, he chose to make a trip to Aruba during the WPT's UltimateBet Poker Classic that would take his poker hobby to a completely new level.

When Anthony arrived in Aruba, he took his bankroll to a satellite and won his way into the main event, which he then parlayed into a final table appearance. He ended up finishing third in the event for the biggest payday of his poker life thus far - $194,230. The experience was enough to cause him to put Aruba on his annual vacation destination list, and the following year, he attempted a repeat. While he did make it into the money and cashed in 49th place, another final table was not meant to be. But for a restaurant owner from Dublin, he has a memory of a WPT final table to share for years to come.
