Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Bradley Berman was born into a family of entrepreneurs and winners. His father, Lyle Berman, was a successful businessman with numerous business and personal accomplishments under his belt before Brad was old enough to comprehend it all. However, from a very young age, he was taught the importance of education, business and financial management, and pursuing one's dreams. His father taught him everything he knew, which included poker and is something that Brad claims to have grasped fully by the age of six.
By adulthood, Brad became involved in the business side of his father's many endeavors, but he also took more than a passing interest in the poker world as well. He learned as much as possible about the game from his father, who plays in the highest limit games in Las Vegas with the best players in the world and is a member of the Poker Hall of Fame. He not only became a member of the Board of Directors for the WPT Enterprises, but he took to the tournament circuit as well to put his skills to the test.
Brad began playing in various tournaments " mostly World Series of Poker and World Poker Tour events " and cashed in his first WSOP main event in 2004. Later that year, he made it to a WPT final table at the World Poker Finals at Foxwoods, finishing fourth and collecting over $450,000. The money isn't as much an issue as the prestige of winning a title, though, as he has been taught to be ultra-competitive by his family. He plans to continue playing events and add a poker championship title to his resume, while also pursuing his business interests, all of which adds up to an extremely driven individual who won't settle for anything less than success.
