Born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and now living in Smyrna, Tennessee, Bryan Sumner is a quiet man who has enjoyed playing poker for the last three years and is doing his best to make a living at it. Formerly an accountant for the state of Tennessee, he felt his career as a number cruncher just didn't add up anymore. This good ole boy is not a showboat, but he's found himself playing in Tunica, Mississippi with some of the greatest players on the World Poker tour.

You may not have heard of Bryan, but he's been playing online for quite a while and decided to take his game to a brick and mortar casino for some of the side action cash games, where on a whim he wagered $1060 on a satellite and won a $10, 000 seat to the World Poker Tour's final table at the Gold Strike's World Poker Open.

The Bellagio Five Diamond Classic in 2007 was Bryan's first WPT main event and he arrived with the support of his family. He indicated that he is going to do his best to play solid tournament poker, but that he is eager to win the lion's share of the prize pool that he'll use to purchase a home with, but mostly, he wants to win a World Poker Tour title.
