Burt Boutin has quite a bit of gamble in him. Born in Pennsylvania, he has found a way to turn the calculated wager into a lifestyle. As a stock broker, sports bettor, and poker player, Burt stakes his lifestyle on the simple principles of risk/reward ratios. Burt's destiny led him from Pennsylvania to the one logical locale: Las Vegas. In 1994, Burt started playing poker. At the time, the biggest regular game running was a simple 20/40 game at the Mirage. It served him well. A few years later, he started trying his hand at tournaments. Once again, the gambler from the Northeast found success in the desert. It wasn't long before Burt realized he could make more money playing poker than he could working as a stock broker.

While he didn't give up his work in the stock market, Burt started working to be an even bigger success in the poker world. He quickly developed a reputation as a tough and emotional competitor. While some opponents would keep their seats and remain as stoic as possible during big hands, Burt would spring from his chair and stalk around the room. Wild and emotional or not, it worked for him.

While Burt hasn't enjoyed wild fame as a result of his tournament success, he is no stranger to big finishes or big games. He won a WSOP bracelet for Pot-Limit Hold'em in 2001 and has enjoyed several other final table finishes, including one on the World Poker Tour. He continues to play cash games in Las Vegas and search for more tournament success.
