Chad Brown was always an intensely focused individual who knew what he wanted and what it would take to get it. He was born and raised in the heart of New York City and explored many talents in his younger years, including an early penchant for poker, which he learned in the Italian cafes around town. His competitive nature led him to sports and a stint with the Los Angeles Grays as a pitcher and outfielder. Upon that move to Los Angeles in the early 1990's, he also found a love for acting and began working in Hollywood. His various commentating jobs and acting roles on television and in film were strangely a stepping stone into the world of poker.

After hosting a TV series called "The Ultimate Poker Challenge," Chad fell back in love with poker and decided to try his own hand at the game that had increased so much in popularity since his youth. What he found was a natural skill, and combining that with his focus and determination to achieve any goal to which he set his mind, he came onto the poker scene with a bang. He did have several tournament cashes and final tables to his credit by the time he decided to become a full-time professional player, and he built on that resume quickly.

In 2002, Chad made his first World Series of Poker final table in the $1,500 limit Omaha hi-lo event and finished in third place. The following year brought three WSOP cashes, and 2005 got him even closer to a bracelet with his second place finish in the $2,000 seven-card stud hi-lo tournament. In 2006, his focus seemed to be on achieving World Poker Tour fame, as he cashed in five tournaments, one of which was a final TV table at the Bay 101 Shooting Stars main event where he finished sixth. The best year thus far has been 2007 when he cashed in eight WSOP events, tying the record with Michael Binger and Phil Hellmuth. He had two final tables in that series - a fifth place finish in an Omaha event and a second place cash in the 2-7 draw lowball championship. His tournament winnings exceed the $2 million mark thus far, and he's only just begun.
