His first name may be David, but in the poker world, David Rheem is really only known by one word: Chino. The affable pro from Los Angeles, California has been a presence on the poker scene since 2005, but his real breakout moment came in 2008, when he was the headlining member of the first-ever WSOP November Nine. Rheem ended up finishing in seventh place that year, earning over $1.7 million.

Just weeks after the November Nine wrapped, Rheem was back in front of the cameras, this time at Season VII’s Five Diamond World Poker Classic final table. This time it was Rheem who was the last player standing. He defeated the likes of Hoyt Corkins, Steve Sung, Amnon Filippi, and Justin Young to capture his first WPT title and his second seven-figure score in as many months.

Rheem picked up an impressive third million-dollar score in the summer of 2011 when he won the first-ever Epic Poker League Main Event. The notorious table talker used his personality and his poker skills to best one of poker’s greatests, Erik Seidel, heads-up for the title and the million-dollar first place prize. The Epic win puts Rheem’s lifetime earnings at more than $5.7 million and puts Rheem in the elite group of players with multiple seven-figure scores on their poker resume.
